Laws of Human Nature
Robert Greene
This book is all about human emotion and social interaction or how people understand those around them and how they understand themselves. An important chapter within this book focusses on narcissism - or the lack of coherent self.
A lot of people hold a misconception about the definition of narcissism. Many people believe that a narcissistic person is someone who loves themselves. However, the opposite is actually the truth. Narcissism refers to those who do not have a love for themselves, so they have to look for it externally.
Robert Greene talks about why some people are narcissistic. Stating that it is formed within your earlier years of life. Due to being entrenched by their parents or surrounded by mentors who were narcissistic themselves.
